Hollywood is right! (at least in this one)

Hi folks!

As I do not expect anyone to be reading this blog (I myself had forgotten the web address...), I will just dump some reflections on this space when I feel like.

First to start is a "silly" one.
Do you recall the Hollywood movies when the police is pursuing or arresting someone it looks like all the cops in the world are together tu pursue one guy!?
Yes my friends, I think that is true in the "First World"... For anything, absolutelly anything there always seems to be a disproportionally high (in my mindset) number of police man and/or ambulances.

Two examples from this week:
- I was walking back from the supermarket in the evening and in the corner of my street there were 4 (FOUR) ambulances stopped with their sirens on and everything. And I couldn't see absolutelly any reason for that other than someone having a small health problem at home (why the extra 3!?).

- But the best was last Tuesday. Cycling back from work in the evening I see the rooflights on the distance and imagine that the police is targeting something on the main road (speed, drinking, etc). I get closer and see that there are FIVE big police cars (the ones with a cage on the back) stopped by the side of the road bordering Centenial Park. And guess for what!? 5 very dangerous murderes that are escaping? Thieves trying to hide in the park? NO!!
All of that was because a man decide to free himself and enjoy the hot summer nights in the park without clothes.
You've got it right. The ONLY thing was a naked man (needless to say that he wasn't armed, right!?) on the park.

Why do we have all this down here in Australia? That's a good reflection, and may well be my next post (or not!).

Cheers,
Jhow (Joelmir
